iMeet® Central has robust search technology that lets you find specific files, projects, and workspaces based on metadata, such as titles, tags and descriptions. But it doesn’t stop there. It looks inside the file itself – be it a PowerPoint, an online discussion, a PDF or a Word doc – for the exact words and phrases you’re looking for.
Full Text Search
Members can search any content within the system, such as documents, files, discussions, tasks, databases, events and comments. As users upload new content, iMeet® Central fully indexes the files – making them available almost immediately for searching.
Users can search based on specific words and phrases that appear within the content itself. They can also look for specific file types.
Users can tag items, including files, documents, discussions and tasks, with one or more keywords. They can then search by tag to bring up all content related to a particular topic.
Workspace Property Search
Companies with several project-related workspaces – such as separate workspaces for each client or consulting engagement – can create searchable custom fields that categorize each project. For example, you could search for projects created within a certain timeframe or owned by a specific employee, and it would bring up all related workspaces.
The Tag Cloud application block lets you embed a visual depiction of your company’s most popular search tags. Clicking a word or phrase brings up all the different types of content that share that tag – companywide or within a specific workspace.
Using the Search Box application block, admins can add search functionality on individual web pages that narrows search results to the workspace in question.
Users can designate specific pages as favorites by clicking an “Add to Favorites” icon. They can then use their own personal Favorites dropdown as a shortcut to the content they’ve tagged, as well as the last 10 items they’ve viewed.
Companies with several project-related workspaces – such as separate workspaces for each client or consulting engagement – can search for all projects that fit specific criteria.
Sort by Navigation
The Files and Discussions area of each workspace displays a default sidebar navigation that allows users to jump to items they created, favorites, specific types of files, items with specific tags or items with a particular approval status, such as draft.
