The 9 Types of Collabohaters [Infographic]

Welcome to the dark side of collaboration.

We previously introduced you to the 9 Collaborators, a motley crew of potential coworkers, each with their own quirks and needs. Although there are some prickly personalities in the bunch, like the ever-questioning skeptic and the stubborn dinosaur, the 9 Collaborators are, ultimately, collaborators. Together, you skipped off arm-in-arm into the collaborative sunset, socialites and stealth ninjas alike.

Along comes the collabohater. Collabohaters are found in nearly every organization. Whether they lurk in the shadows or luxuriate in the spotlight, and whether their intentions are pure or polluted, one thing is certain: they will seriously mess with your collaborative mojo.

Recognize anyone?

I’ve worked with far too many Prophets of Doom! They’re the worst kind of idea-killers because they can pollute others’ opinions of the viability of a project (which means they then are reluctant to move it forward because they think it’s a futile effort) and sometimes even get you to second-guess yourself if you’re not careful.
